Miniature Roses
Among the most interesting and exciting plants, miniature roses come in many colors and varieties of the same as full-size cousins. They’re perfect for container gardens, but also just planted in the ground. Small buds and the blooms are beautiful in their corsages and arrangements, put into a small vase on a tray or pick it up and carefully dried in potpourri. Although small in size, the most highly scented miniature, and only a few small shrubs can perfume the air throughout the park. That and easy to grow less hardy perennials have made them increasingly popular with home gardeners. Portrait miniature roses, or standards, are a rose tree that grows 12-18 inches. A rose tree in full bloom a nice accent in the garden centers of low growth, or stand alone in the container.
There are some miniature roses that trail, send a runner with new growth and flowers. It makes a wonderful choice in hanging baskets, with the drift rate to cascade over the side in a beautiful color screen. The best choice for hanging baskets includes the aptly named Red and pink Cascade Nostalgia apart. Miniature roses are hardy bloomers that winter well even up to four northern zones. They grow quickly, require little maintenance beyond the water, and will reward you with dozens of blooms for very little effort.
