Making Artwork Arrangements
Hang artwork in the group can create an attractive appearance to any room. The simplest grouping is a pair: two pieces of art, framed identically. They can be placed side by side or one from another, in a way that even or uneven. Other simple grouping of perhaps three or more art pieces of various sizes. Each part must be framed in the style and color that is best for the individual items. It will look good if one of the art large enough, while the companion is a smaller size.
For an easy way to create a wall grouping in your home or office, spread your artwork on the floor in front of the wall area where he will be hanged. Resetting the smaller items around one or two larger pieces until the grouping has the appearance of harmony. Be careful to have a look to the center of the face of your settings. Note the rhythmic flow of color, form and media.
Imagine your items hung low over the furniture or trailing to baseboard to see the designer. Take the lights, outlets and channels heat into consideration. When the “floor arrangement” looks perfect, move items to the walls each in the same relative position.
Note: Some home owners swear by the following method: Cut the paper or kraft paper to size for each item. Work out the “floor” design using these templates. Hang the “paper” items on the wall using small pieces of removable tape. Make the necessary adjustments. Use a straight pin or a pencil to mark the places where hooks should be nailed. Then hang and enjoy.
