Home Security Camera System
Think carefully before you run to your local electronics supplier and purchase the home security camera system. Just as with terrorist protection and theft protection systems, home systems require you to plan your system before you go shopping. The simplest system is set at the front door so you can see who is standing there when the doorbell rang. They provide the comfort that comes in seeing people or the people who knock on your door before you open and let them in. If necessary, the audio system in both directions, as well as video, which allows you to ask people questions, such as producing identification cards with raised insignia identity or to the camera for your inspection.
So your first decision is, should I include a two-way audio with the camera on my front door? Next you will ask who should I have a camera connected to a recording device or the simple ability to see enough people? One entrance, one system and already have questions that need to be addressed. For a simple home security camera you can buy a kit that will include the features you need.
The next question you should ask before you buy a system is, if I want a security camera at each entrance to your home or other entrance to my house maybe? There are systems that install the cameras on the street or in the garage, wherever you normally park your car and exit. Some offer motion detection on / off switches also connected to the lighting system so as soon as you raise, cameras and lights all lit simultaneously. You can be comforted by the thought that if anyone is lurking nearby to grab you or your car when you exit the vehicle, an automatic lighting system and visible camera will most likely frighten them from the minute it turns on.
Another factor to consider before you purchase a home security camera system is a resource. Where is the nearest power source for cameras, monitors and switches you’ll need a system to operate correctly? There are battery-operated systems, but the maintenance involved in keeping the new battery can take some time. Find your nearest resources and compare them with the location or locations you need for your camera and other equipment and build from there.

Our homes are the places where we can relax and be comfortable. That it why it is only natural that we protect our homes from any outside danger so that we can feel safe and secure while we rest.
There are many serious and not so serious dangers that lurk around our neighborhood. Especially when there is no one at home or the residents are on vacation, that is the time that robbers choose to target homes.
Today, technology has allowed us to be able to detect such goings-around even when we are not present. There are motion detectors that act as security systems. These systems detect any movement using sensors and trigger alarms. Once a motion is detected, the system will call prerecorded numbers. The person who answers can have options whether to listen in, broadcast their voice as a warning, or disarm the system if the danger is not perceived.
Sometimes, however, the dangers come from people who are close to us, or people that we know. Babysitters, gardeners, plumbers, electricians, interior decorators, carpenters, and many hired personnel have access to our homes and can have the greatest opportunity to cause harm or to take valuable stuff.

There are two main video recorders which are used within home security. There are DVRs (digital video recorders) and VCRs (video cassette recorders). These video recorders are available in different models, shapes, and even sizes. For example, a DVR can be so small that it can even fit within a Spy Pen! A DVR can be portable and of course hidden.
The DVR is the more popular and innovative product over the dwindling VCR. This growth in the DVR market has allowed retailers to offer more competitively priced DVRs with better features that were once only available for commercial use and at a very high price.
